When I built my shop I didn't put in any windows for security and both of my roll up doors have no outside handles. I shut off the power to the electric openers when I'm away from home, so far nothing taken when closed up and I've been in it 12 years. I have had several things stolen when the door was open, so now I close it when leaving even for a few minutes. I wired my electric plugs every 8 feet all around the perimeter of the shop, all 20 amp plugs with 12 ga. wire. I also put in 2 plugs for 220 volts. wish I had plumbed air on the walls as well so I still have my compressor on wheels.
