Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,317 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,317 | Just a suggestion.....if you purchase 3 point belts from a vendor (such as Julianos) be sure to specify that you want an extra long inner belt.
I had to add a metal extension up from the floor so that the buckle latch came through the space between the seat back and the seat base. Six inches of additonal belt length over a stock aftermarket set of belts, would have greatly simplified attaching the inner belts to the cab floor.
Also be sure to add a metal triangular reinforcement piece to the upper mount area. The stock sheet metal without the reinforcement will not adequately provide a secure upper mount. I have some pictures of the upper reinforcement in my Webshots Chevy albums. Hope this helps.
