| | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,317 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,317 | I purchased a Century GS125 portable MIG welder...came with a gas hookup so I added a bottle after issues with quality of flux-core welds on light sheet metal. This particular model has no solenoid gas flow control and the cheesy pinch valve in the handle gave out after 6 months. No solenoid shut-off valve for gas when you released the trigger......had to shut off the bottle after each weld. No replacement parts.
Replaced it with a Hobart 140......there is no comparison...the Hobart was a keeper from day one. Hope your Century model works out for you.
