The page of questions and answers 3rd one low voltage problem ,bypass the resistor ,no need for resistor with electronic ign. sys.Lower voltage into the coil lower voltage out to the plugs.Thats why alot of people bypass the resistor for start up and switch to resistor on run to get easier start and not burn the points up on the road.
