I took my dash out and I needed to grind most of the bolts off as they get pretty rusted from the crank out windsheild.
As for the front window crank...I have 3 of them as I had a 41 3 ton truck and bought one from someone in the classifieds. A working window crank is worth it's weight in gold. Yours is most likely just ceased up from lack of use. Soak it in some liquid wrench or evaporust for a while. That is what I did and it freed up one of mine. All 3 of mine work and I will be selling the extras once I decide which one I am going to use.
