This is Sam Thompson Salem ILL. This Truck started life as a Civil Defense truck then a local fire dept used it for a dive rescue truck then they sold it and that is when I started chasing it. It took me 6 years to find it, it was running and everything worked except the brakes so I bought it and got it home. I work cross country Pipeline and only get to work on it when I am home from a job. I hunted for parts for about 4 years before I even started working on it as you know panels are the hardest to work on because from the drivers door back you can't find parts.So hense the long time to get it back on the road. Well as I am posting this I am installing the New glass in the doors all that is lacking is the exhaust and that goes in next week then it on the road. I hope!! Sam T.
