Sure Ken, if you get a chance I'd like to see that tumbler. Where I worked before I retired they used several tumblers in the material lab and I took measurements and made some sketches of them.
I always wanted one in the shop but it's one of those things that I just never felt justified in spending the cash for. Never did have a lot of disposable income and that's even worse now that my wife and I am retired. I wanted to fly so I had to build my own airplane then after a few hundred hours I came to the realization that I couldn't even afford to fly it. In fact I'm in the process of selling off the planes and all the rest of the stuff I've collected over the past 40 years so I can make room for and pay for the old truck. That was what I lived for when I was a teenager and as I look back now I wish I would have stuck with it.
But enough whining, yes, I'd like to see a picture of your tumbler if you get spare minute.
I don't think gelled diesel would work to well in my gunk tank. It's out in the barn and that’s down around 10°F right now and may have gone even lower last night. I gotta wash a little then come in and warm up my hands every 10 minutes or so. The kerosene has always worked well for me so I think I'll finish out my tour using that.
The wind from the wire brush has a similar effect on my hands, gotta quit every so often and go to the warming station. But I still wouldn’t trade this weather for those 110° summers you guys get down there in Taxis!
