OK.. I been reading many of the old posts on the baord... so I know this has been beat to death.
I am gonna be putting in a new 4-link rear end soon. Gonna have to figure out the correct angle to mount up the stuff for the spring buckets, shock mounts, etc.
I got the chassis back and plan on mounting the new Mustang II IFS first... then drop in the motor/tranny to get some idea of where motor mounts need to go.
Next I want to mount the 4-link suspension. Needless to say I have to know where all the parts need to be welded on the rear end (with correct angles)
Here's where I have a question... I've been told by SEVERAL knowledgeable folks I need to set the 'stance' of the truck first... (makes sense to me)??
Anyway,.. if thats the case,.. I'm just putting the rear end on a plain chassis. WHAT is gonna happen to the angle when I place the body, bed, etc on the chassis and it gets near completion. Won't the angle change (up or down)??.. and whats the effect.??
