I use a stock window type dist. with a crane elec. conv. kit. I have used 2 diff. methods of mounting. 1. I used a repro. factory kit from Chevy-Duty that mounts up front. 2. Iused a crossmember kit available everywhere. It uses the side mounts. #1 looks authentic. #2 leaves the front open for factory P/S & A/C brackets & is ready if you wan,t to put in A.T.#1 has to be modified if you use a large damper. Use the starter to match the bell housing flywheel. I like the long water pump. It comes closer to the radiator. Chevy-Duty also has the v-8 throtle kit or you could use a pedal/cable system from a later model. The rams horn manifolds that come on many v-8s in the 50,s-60,s work great. Have dual built by the local muffler shop. Hope all this helps. The stock radiator works. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
