42 is a tough year as they used what they had during the war. How's about you post a picture or two of your headlight/parklight housings and I can tell you what year you have as far as the park light housings go.

All years had the rubber rear window seal, but the early ones have a pot metal casing around that. The front window winds out on all of them 38?-47first.

I have a 42 and it has characteristics of both 41 and 46 so there is no sure thing with the war-time built trucks in my estimation.

Also, do you have the vin plate? Either on passenger side cowl under hood, or on the firewall, inside under the dash. If so post the numbers on that and it will identify your year.
