little more Len - the knob ends were mounted in an 'L' shaped bracket, with the screwed down part having 2 screws and the knob leg being slightly V shaped - check under the center of the dash and you should find 2 pairs of 2 holes with weld nuts behind .... where the cable goes to the flap there will be holes in the kick panel nearby, originally with rubber grommets .... the cable sheath is captured just inside the opening and the inner cable attaches to the door by the rolled end slipping over a peg on the door .... too dark for pictures today wink
