I guess I would just like to make sure that I am in the ball park with the correct size. I also still plan on using a stock cab mount system. I may just end up cutting ovals in the boxing plates anyway.
On a side note, I had a hard time finding floating weld retainer nuts (basically strong cage nuts) that would work for this application. Most people who sell them do so in bulk. I e-mailed the people at Ohio Nut and Bolt Company and told them the situation. They were kind enough to ship me enough for my project as a sample. If any of you run a business where you may need fasteners, I suggest using them, they were fantastic. And I am in no way affiliated with them, I am just an idiot in a one car garage.
