I have a 55 1st series truck, with a second series 235 engine. I've had some challenges trying to obtain some engine parts for it! I ordered a new cam from Egge, twice, and it was the wrong one. They crossed referenced the number on my old cam and sent me the one that "matched", and the front end of the new cam, where the gear is attached, wouldn't fit through the front jounal?? So I took my original to a shop to have it re-ground. Same with push rods for said engine. Book calls for length of 11+, but it takes the shorter ones, 10 5/8, that are for a 54 235? Keeping records of all that I am doing, don't want to duplicate my errors! Take care!
