My father owned several 80 series Chevys in the early 60s till the mid 70s. They gave good service, considerably better than the Fords we had with the 391 V8...one sorry motor. We never had a Chevy with a roof mounted AC, would have been nice here in the hot humid south. Also our fuel mileage averaged 2 1/2 to 3 1/4 MPG on the tractor trailers, and this was running empty 50% of the time. You got great mileage on yours. I have a few pictures in my webshots posted below.
