Call Buffalo again. He talked me out of a bellhousing and into the adapter plate. I talked to him last week and he was building a bunch of adapter plates for people. You need to ask him why an adapter plate won't work for you.
You do not have to remove the engine to remove the bellhousing, but you do have to remove the flywheel.
John46, I thought you had already ordered the bellhousing from Jim Carter?
steveg, you got some pics of that saginaw bolted up to the stock 42 bellhousing? I don't see any way it would bolt up.
