I will be instaling a 250 in my 53'with a T-5 behind it.I have been dooing the reserch on the convrsion and this is what i have found.First the 235/216(front mount) motor and tranny mounts are in no way compattable with the 250(side mounts).I have found 2 soulitions.1Chevy Duty and others sell a V-8 conversion crossmember made for side mount motors I have been told this also works with the side mount 250.They also sell a universal tranny mount crossmember.2Langdons Stovebolt sells a set of mounts to adapt 250 to early chevy frames it looks a little more like original equipment, but you will still need the universal trans mount or something that will work with your bell houseing or trans(I am not familliar with your trans/bellhousing)then if you still have the closed driveline the rearend will need to be changed.Next you will loose your foot starter.Clutch linkage will also need modifcation I haven't reserched that yet.Raidaitor looks like it will work fine after finding the right hose combination.Cappiliay line for original temprature gage is to short I have been looking into that C.D. sells one with a extended line.Thats about all I can think of at the moment,I am sure others have done this an will chime in. Good luck Aaron
