The small block Chevy was an option in your truck and externally they are all almost identical so I would not expect any insurmountable problems.

What year is the 327? Or more to the point, does it have early or late heads? If you are replacing a small block in the truck now, your accessories will be mounted the early way if its stock. If the heads are later, which in this case would be late 60's, you may find you need to change how the alternator is mounted and things like that.

Nothing that can't be solved...
