Hello, My dear friends.
I would first like to start off by telling you a little about myself.
My name is Anthony, and I am 15 years old.
I live in Southern California and I love old Cars and trucks. (I always have, because my dad (who's older) has always owned old trucks.
We were at a friends house the other day, and he had a 59 one ton dually Chevy with a 4 speed and an Inline-6. I told my dad, Hey dad, I really like that truck, so anyway, we bought it. (We haven't picked it up). Our friend also doesn't know much about it, so I'm not even certain its a 58 or a 59. ( I hope its a 58, the older the better) (The first year for double Head Lights is 58, I don't know much about Chevys, But I'm willing to learn, never hurts to learn anything new about old Cars and Trucks.
This truck needs a little work, it does run. (We've been told, as its been sitting for a while)
It has the double Head lights and has chrome trim on the fenders above the wheel wells. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, but when we go to pick it up, and get it running, I will take pictures of him then. (all the gas, all the rubber, oil, will need to be replaced) We plan to get it up to condition to be a driver then go from there, which means, yet another project. (Like our first one hasn't even been finished...)
We are not new to Old Chevys.
A couple Chevys we have had were:
1957 halfton (converted to a flatbed by the previous owner) Inline 6, 3 speed. ( sense my dad has had two Chevys with Inline 6, He thinks they where 250 CID.)
1963 3/4 ton Flatbed, Inline 6, converted to a 4 speed.
1971 Longhorn 3/4, 350, auto
1972 3/4 ton pickup, 350, Automatic.
and it goes on and on.
oh my dad also had a '62 Nova.
Thank You for listening to my rant, and I hope you who are more experianced can help us. I'm sorry I get excited and start typing things that make no sense what so ever.
Have a great day, and once again, Thank You.
Your Friend,
Anthony.
P.S. I also have a '76 F-350 (hence my user name, I would have made my user name 59 Chevy but I didn't know it was a '59...
