I just took a 150 mile round trip and think it's time to work on my seats. When I bought the truck 15 years ago the old boy had "restored" the seats with a JC Whitney seat cover and it wasn't too bad but has always needed new padding. The back cushion is what gets me....even with the seat all the way back I am too close to the steering wheel and I am only 5'9' and 160lb. How do some of you "big boys" drive your truck?
I would like to shorten the legnth of the springs in the back cushion to give me more arm room and a more comfortable driving position. Is this something that I can do or should I let a pro handle this when they make the new covers from material from SMS Fabric? Has anyone else done this or is there a better way?
