I am getting ready to do my wood bed on a 55 first series , I have to replace the side strips along with the center strips. How is the best way to install them and get them in the original position? I drilled out the spot welds and I am not a good spot weld so I guess I will use 5/16 bolts instead of spot welds. thanks for your advise,
