No I own an old Suburban. I sure do know a lot of submariners, including some of my local relatives. You are not the first to ask about submarines.
Dual master and new lines are important.
My Suburban has the dual master bracket from
CPP and the disk kit from Chevy Duty. I choose the disk kit because it used calipers and rotors from a mid-size mid-70's GM product and I already had the rear axle with brakes from a '73 Chevelle wagon under my truck.
Chevy Duty has since changed names and I do NOT recommend them as a vender. Others like them, but I'll never buy from them again based on my own experience with their customer service.
I bought almost all the brake parts new even though I still had the Chevelle. I did use the multi-valve from the Chevelle . Now when I need brake parts I know I just ask for '73 Chevelle stuff.
I think that approach eased some of the hassles, though I won't claim the project was painless. I did this about seven years ago in the fall and did not have a shop at the time. Much of the work I did laying in damp grass and shivering.
