| | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 | My ’41 clutch is a 10-3/4” unit for a ¾ ton pickup and it would only go together one way. There is an extended boss on one face of the clutch disk and it has to go to the flywheel side. The pressure plate will not come up to touch and clamp on the clutch disk if clutch disk is installed backwards. If it is working you have it installed correctly.
The owner’s manual calls for S.A.E. 90 Hypoid lube in both the transmission and differential. 3 spd. 1-1/2 pints. 4 spd. 5-1/2 pints. In the old days when I first worked in a gas station we would stick our finger in the fill hole and if you could touch the oil it was ok.
1 liter = 2.113 pints
