For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 | that's how i got my 64 c20 for free the rear brake was frozen. i actually made a "tool" to free it. i drilled 3 holes for three lug studs and cut away relief for the center of the axle out of a piece of 1" x 6" x 5' steel. bolted it on and with some light jerks from my other truck and chain broke free. i had soaked it in pen oil and drug with the tractor basicly tried everything else. i still have the "tool" if you need to drive down and borrow it. someone may have a better idea or say it might break something but it worked for me. after that i could turn the drum and got it to come off. good luck. | | |
