I have now taken several drives with the truck’s new 3.38 gears. I couldn’t be happier. The ’53 Power Glide 235 which produced 115 HP new still has plenty of power to pull the 3.38. I’m using the ‘41’s original, granny geared, 4 spd. crash box and have absolutely no problem pulling away from a stop in 2nd gear. With my relatively small (almost stock) 205/78-15 tires I get about 24 MPH/ 1000RPM’s
