The differences have been acurrately pointed out but the sheet metal can be interchanged. Alot of peoples like the one piece windshield but the 47-53 grill. The front clips are a direct trade out. The beds can be interchanged by having the rear fenders on the bed, lower into position untill the running board to fender holes line up, and then measure and cut bed mount blocks to fit. Here is an example of a 53 and back bed on a 54(notice the one piece curved windshield).
