oh, it's def not the same as the original. the original wall thickness is almost 1/2 of the new one. the original falls on the shaft, the new one had to be filed to go on at all. i checked with the supplier/same dimensions as his, and he checked with his supplier - no problems with a 3/4 impact. but i haven't even tried to crush it on the shaft yet bec when i saw the difference, i stopped right there. and in between three phone calls with the supplier, i put the sleeve, all by itself, in my 20ton press three different times, and all i could get it to crush was .013in. which of course meant that the id shrunk and it had to be filed again to get it to go on the shaft. the supplier said he doesn't know what to say to that, other than tie the carrier down to something solid, get a 3/4 socket and a 5' cheater and have at it. urgh!
