For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 61 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 61 | Walking the flea market at the 2009 Hershey AACA meet, I came across the strangest front fender for a '41-'46 I've ever seen. It has the overall dimensions and shape of a 1 ton to 1.5 ton fender; but it has some interesting additions: square shaped holes, obviously factory punched, in the wheel arch area just above the tire. It seems like the holes were mounting points for some trim that outlined the wheel openning. It also has a reinforcing bracket factory welded into the lower corner-as a stiffenning feature. The fender is NOS and just as new-so it had to go home with me. I would love to know its application( military, school bus, ????)end your email to: [email protected]thanks! | | |
