If this will make you feel any better, my hunt took over two years. In the meantime I bought a 4:57 as insurance in case I had to go the new gear upgrade route. Now I have my 4:10 and a 4:57 collecting dust. If you have a 3/4 rearend, it is most likely a 4:57 and a 4:10 is only a 10% improvement.
