My '46 came without either of these strips. I called Chev's of the 40's and they don't sell reproductions. They DO for '47's but advised me they can't be adapted to work on the '41-'46 cabs.
I am wondering if anyone has spare ones they want to sell (hopefully cheaply, ha, ha)? But more likely, could I make some out of ordinary sheet metal stock? I don't even know what these strips look like, width, length? Do they have any lines, details of any kind I need to hold the windlace?
On the same subject, are there some kind of strips across the bottom of the doors/cab floor to hold that weather stripping?, if so I don't have that either. I did a search on this but came up with nothing. Any help/advice appreciated. Dan
