My FLAPS has a press for the fittings for the oil lines, last time I needed some they made them while I waited, cost was low and I was back on the road the same afternoon.
I've gone both routes on brake lines, one truck I bought a whole new set of pre fab lines but a couple fittings were not correct and a couple lines were not the right length.
A double flaring tool, a roll of brake tubing and the proper fittings will give you a great sense of accomplishment.
