The TV cable housing at the throttle body has a plastic lock that can be squeezed with a pair of Channellock pliers. Then it will push through the bracket, but you'd better grab the bracket, too. The cable end itself just pushes forward off the stud on the throttle linkage. It's plastic, so don't break it! Even if you have to modify the way the bracket bolts on, you'll need it to complete your installation. On the transmission end, once the top of the cable housing is free, you can pull the housing up far enough to unclip the cable. There's a short wire that connects the TV valve on the valve body to the cable, and it goes about an inch up into the cable housing. Depending on the year model, there might also be a vacuum switch mounted on the firewall that is needed to get the converter clutch to lock up.
