For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 265 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 265 | I pulled the valve covers today and it has hydraulic lifters with no valve adjustment at all??? Adjustment determined by push rod length only? No broken lifters. I did notice that the valve covers and heads are extremely gunked up which makes me wonder if a lifter is gummed up. I might get a can of engine flush later today as see cleaning it out makes a difference on the cough and the oil pressure issue. | | | |
