If you can,try and get patterns from 'originals'.
Some of the aftermarket stuff is less than satisfactory.
i.e The wrong shape!(Don't ask me how I know)
I'm not sure what the legal requirements are in the U.S but we,in the U.K. require a minimum thickness of 6.4mm(sorry about the Eurospeak!) wink
