for around town city driving the 3.55:1 conversion is great. you can really move with traffic. that said it still isn't enough to cruise 70-80 mph on the interstate. you'll still turn 3000 rpm @ 70 which is still too much for any length of time. are beloved old sixes just don't have enough nickel content in the block for that.
really it just depends on the type of driving your going to do.
