For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | On my 1 Ton, I have 2 rims from a 70s to 80s Ford product and two trailer OEM style rims. They look identical but the trailer rims are a little heavier. The rim width is 6" and the back spacing is around 4". Apparently the white spoked rims that they are selling now will fit too. I had the weights on the back side of the rim done with tape weights to make sure I had enough clearance at the tie rod ends. I think ordinary weights would do just fine.
A 235/85/16 would put you closer to the original tire height. | | |
