Does anyone know what years Chevrolet used the same 1/2 ton rear end in the late '50's? Many years ago, (1970's) I snagged a rearend for my '50 out of a 1960 panel at a wrecking yard. It is a 10 bolt 3.90 with the differential unit that unbolts from the front of the axle housing. I know that I have swapped out pumpkins in the past from '55-'59 rearends. I always see parts for axles in this time period listed as '55-'59, and recently looked at brake lines that were designated '55-'57. Was this axle used beyond '59? If so, until when? And would brake parts, (cylinders, lines, shoes) be the same for all of the years used? Thanks in advance,
