The bed is 48.5 inches wide, and the fenders are about 11 inches deep. You can use these measurements in a formula to figure out how wide your rear end needs to be to center the tires in the fenders.
For my 1940 GMC 3/4 ton longbed, I ordered an IMCA modifed f@rd 9 inch that was 61 inches wheel mount to wheel mount. The rear end was about 2 inches wider than stock because I am using wheels that are offset inward 1 inch. In other words I have 16 X 7 rims with 4 inches of backspacing. | | |
