Keep in mind to be VERY careful not to nick the glass or put too much pressure on it when you cut the seal, or you'll be hunting for a new windshield. Also, I would make sure the glass is good and warm when you try to pull it, the cold makes it a lot more prone to cracking. I was going to buy a windshield from a guy I knew for my daily driver, and I even brought him a special seal cutting tool. He didn't let it warm and put a little too much pressure on the glass in one of the corners, suffice to say I didn't get the windshield.
