Some of the stampings that were made back in the 60's and 70's were closer to the original. I search eBay quite regularly for NOS patch panels and it is surprising how many appear. I like the old made in USA panels better better than the imports because they are more similar to the parent metal and therefor weld easier and I just don't like imported reproductions. I have bought some NOS panels from this guy http://www.surplussupplyco.com/catalog.htm He also sells imports, but he has a lot of NOS stashed away.
