At the risk of sounding completely ignorant, what's the correct(or simple) way to adjust the valves on a '61 235? I've adjusted valves on a 350 v8 before, using the "1/4-turn-after-noise-is-gone-method". Can the same method be applied here or do I need to adjust them with the engine off. I have the shop manual, but it just gives the gap dimensions for the intake and exhaust valves. It doesn't provide step by step instructions, unless I'm real dense and don't see it.
