Mine is a 261 also. I did this(several times) until I got it correct. It really works great. Just take your time. You might try reading my documented trials with the adpter on the stovebolt thread. If you can't find it, I'll post a link. It took me a couple of time before it didn't leak but I finally got it right and it keeps the rig cool and doesn't leak.
