How do I positively identify the transmission? I only know it's a 4 speed, and first gear only gets me to about 3 miles an hour. I think it's a Eaton rear end. The e brake is mounted up under the dash. I'm not ignorant to cars and trucks. I've just mostly dealt with Mopars, and so I'm really not familiar with Chevy's.
