The new gas formulas are hard on rubber parts, if the fuel pump you have is an older model the diaphram may have gone south on you with fuel sitting for several months. Try putting a vacuum guage on the tank side of the pump an crank it for a few seconds and see what you get for pressure, this will tell you if the pump is bad or not.
