3B 'Bolter 3 Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 B. C. Canada	Hy 38 tow, if we're talking Chevies, and 6 volt starters in both cases, then the answer is yes. The Chevy 216 came out in 1937, and that starter will work on 6 volt Chevy 235s, and 261s, and 6 volt GMC 228, 236, 248, 256, 270, and 302 civilian, hope that helps.
