yes the guys will love to get into all your question but in the individual forums. There is a lot you can do for your speed, but one thing at a time. Remember when you change one thing for speed, you will have to change a lot more to accomadate those changes. My 50 truck has a Ford oil filter on it which makes it easy to change.
