When my 216 was in need of help I located another 216 that was a good runner from a fellow on eBay. There were also plenty of 235 motors for less than $250. All of them needed dragging howme ( no shipping offered ) and powerwashing.
A friend really wanted the new 216 to do his restoration the origional way, so I called the local car recycler ( used to be 'auto wrecker', but that makes them sound bad, I guess? ) and had a recently rebuilt 261 in the back of my truck the next afternoon.
The best part of being Chevrolet is that they are everywhere.
