My 62 was cable operated too.
Really? Wonder if that was an option, part of the Deluxe interior package, or just phased out mid-year. Any chance yours were added like I added mine?
The mounting hole for the pull knob under the dash was there, with the threaded blind nut, making that part of it a bolt-in. But the kick-panel itself was different.
