Hy V-6 Fix Modelman, the 283 and 348 were both available in 1960 models, depending on size. Using the mounts for the 283, in theory any small block should be able to be installed. As to the exhaust, I have never owned a 60 - 62 light truck so I cannot offer an opinion.
