The biggest question is what is left under the paint? is it chipping in specific areas? or all over? If it is mainly on edges thats usualy poor prep work, ie. neglecting to detail sand the edges..as the old rule goes" the harder it is to sand the more important it is to sand it!" as that is ALWAYS where it will chip or peel! If it is chipping after contact in the center of panels then that is poor adhesion; possibly from poor prep or wrong combinations used in reducers, hardeners or incorrect application of the paint or undercoats. I just got thru helping one of our mechanics redo his truck with the same problem, in that case it had too much paint on it ( single stage black plus clear )
