When I bought my 39 GMC one of the king pins was broke and the hole in the axle was pretty waddled out. So I designed a jig to drill the eye out at the correct angle. I then turned a bushing and pressed it in. Once the bushing was in, I drilled it with a drill a little under size, then reamed it to the proper diameter. A few more steps were involved, but I dont want to bore everyone. The axle works fine. But since I never done this before, I located another axle just incase. I was pleased with the outcome.
